OK, so it appears that InnoDB is the problem. MyISAM is 3x faster than MS SQL Server. Hmmmmmm, grrrrrrrr, I do need transactions. But I guess this is where I can use different DBs for different tables.

Ok, I know this is not the thread to ask, but does anyone have tips or advice on using MyISAM? If my system crashes, do I lose the ENTIRE table or the transactions not completed?

Anyways, thanks guys for your advise.
