Hi Wbond,

As you say you were 'thrown in' to creating a database and related web forms. I am not sure how much programming experience you have but, you need to start looking at scripting languages such as Perl/PHP/or the many alternatives, to allow use of the database via the web.

My own expereince is with PHP, so in the short-term you could check out the PHP in the articles section of this site (http://dev.mysql.com/tech-resources/articles/).

Depending how seriously you take this challenge, it would probably be wise for you (or the community college) to purchase a decent text book. I can personally recomend MySQL (2nd Edition) by Paul Dubois which also has an excellent chapter on PHP. Your milage will obviously depend on how much programming experience you have.
