Thanks Rick. While we are on this,on the master, an entry is written to in binlog to truncate the table after restart. is there a way we can avoid that? I need to keep the slave with whatever was written into the master, even though the master has no records because the server was restarted. (Trying to simulate inmemory db performance and so far i have got amazing insert performance, but for this one single problem). Thanks again, Raghu!
