If I understand
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/mit-pthreads.html correctly, MIT threads are not LinuxThreads. So enabling them would disable LinuxThreads.
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/thread-packages.html is also interesting reading, but it does not tell which configure options to use.
You can do the following:
- Wait for someone else to provide a helpful answer.
- Ask on the GENERAL forum again.
- Experiment.
