Hmm. The ABS44 coding model is kind of a hybrid between 32-bit and 64-bit code. Apparently, it's the default produced by the Sun compiler.
You may be able to alter your Makefile and add "-xcode=abs64" to the compiler flags.
I'm shooting in the dark here, since I don't have a SPARC platform on which to test.
