Dear Peter,
This is really not relevant, as this is just a normal database restore from a mysqldump source file.
and as you can see in the tests, the version prior to 5.6 are doing great, however from 5.6 onward the performance dropped.
it took more than 2 minutes in MySQL ver 8.0 to restore a 20MB database file.
Imagine if I restored the actual databases which I am dealing with, around 6GB per database. It will probably take forever.

Maybe the developers could help us with this.
