CREATE TABLE vsUnit (
UnitID int unsigned not null auto_increment,
UnitType tinyint unsigned not null, -- from vsLookup
UnitName varchar(60) not null,
primary key (UnitID),
unique key (UnitName)
);

/* Proposals */

create table vsProposal (

EndDate date,

OriginatingSponsorType tinyint unsigned not null, -- from vsLookup
OptionAvailable boolean,
MultiYear boolean,
Comment text,
ProposalAmount decimal(11,2),
GrantStatus tinyint unsigned not null, -- from lookup
SubmissionDate date,
primary key (ProposalID)
) ENGINE = InnoDB;

create table vsProposalPersonAllocation (
ProposalID int unsigned not null,
PersonID int unsigned not null,
Role tinyint unsigned not null, -- from lookup
AllocationPercent decimal(5,2) unsigned not null default 0.00,
foreign key (ProposalID)
references vsProposal(ProposalID),
foreign key (PersonID)
references vsPerson(PersonID),
primary key (ProposalID, PersonID)
) ENGINE = InnoDB;

create table vsProposalUnitAllocation (
ProposalID int unsigned not null,
UnitID int unsigned not null ,
UnitType tinyint unsigned not null, /*-- from lookup How does this differ from vsUnit.UnitType? Would UnitRole be better? */
AllocationPercent decimal(5,2) unsigned not null default 0.00,
foreign key (ProposalID) references vsProposal(ProposalID),
foreign key (UnitID) references vsUnit(UnitID),
primary key (ProposalID, UnitID, UnitType) -- UnitType or no UnitType in <<PK>>?
) ENGINE = InnoDB;

Spent hours and hours on trying to fix this. InnoDB status message says there's something wrong with UnitID in vsProposalUnitAllocation. Can someone please help me out.
