Now I'm back to the original error message which goes as thus:
Can't create table '.\maria\employeeclaim.frm' (errno: 150)

If I use the TYPE InnoDB I would receive a different message:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TYPE=InnoDB)' at line 1

Additionally, I am able to create the table with one foreign key (using a front-end tool), the problem arises when I use two foreign keys.
