Helo, i have the same problem, my script:

CREATE TABLE marcas(idMarca SERIAL, nombreMarca VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL);
ALTER TABLE marcas ADD CONSTRAINT key1 PRIMARY KEY (idMarca);

CREATE TABLE modelos(idModelo SERIAL, idMarca INT NOT NULL,.....);
ALTER TABLE modelos ADD CONSTRAINT key2 PRIMARY KEY(idModelo);

There are more lines of script but are similar, i get the error in:

ALTER TABLE modelos ADD CONSTRAINT tiene FOREIGN KEY (idMarca) REFERENCES marcas(idMarca) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE.

I know that the conflict is in marcas.idMarca(SERIAL) and modelos.idMarca(INT) but i need the auto-increment in table marcas.

PD: i'm using MySQL 5.1.31
